Hi everyone! We are excited to share out quilt top (aka a “flimsy”) in the Everyone’s A Star Quilt Along sponsored by Benartex, Kanvas and Contempo fabrics.
I really love the way it turned out – it is much more “low contrast” than my norm, but it seems so soft and sweet and cuddly! I used a traditional method (like Debby) to piece it together – but next time I have a quilt with sashings and cornerstones I am definitely trying Lisa’s method!
To complete my quilt I used: (17) 2-1/2″ X 12-1/2″ rectangles Feathered Ferns Jade, (14) 2-1/2″ X 12-1/2″ rectangles of Beloved Blooms Jade, (20) 2-1/2″ squares of Liberty Geo Turquoise, and (6) 4-1/2″ X WOF strips of Liberty Garden Blue.
Visit the Sew in Love with Fabric blog for Lisa’s tutorial, and to see Debby’s flimsy. Be sure to check on April 6th to see the competed quilt!
Hi everyone! We are excited to share our latest block in the Everyone’s A Star Quilt Along sponsored by Benartex, Kanvas and Contempo fabrics.
I am using the Liberty Garden fabric line – it is just beautiful! I am a sucker for shades of blue, teal and turquoise with a little lime green thrown in for fun! Be sure to visit the Benartex site to see the whole line – it comes in a pink/orange colorway too! Here are some of these beautiful fabrics:
Debby Kratovil created the tutorial for today’s block – I used the exact same techniques as she did to create my Block #3 … here it is!
And here are all 3 of my blocks … sew pretty!
Visit the Sew in Love with Fabric blog for the full tutorial, and to see Lisa’s block too. Be sure to check in next week to see how we pull it all together!
Today is the day for the Block 1 tutorial in the Everyone’s A Star Quilt Along sponsored by Benartex, Kanvas and Contempo! Block 1 is brought to you by Lisa – she is using the gorgeous Zentastic line by Contempo Studio. See her tutorial over on the Sew in Love with Fabric blog.
Here is my block (using the Liberty Garden line by Benartex). So much fun, and so easy! I used the exact same techniques as Lisa did … if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!
Are you quilting along with us? Be sure to send pictures of your blocks to firstname.lastname@example.org … I know they’d love to see them!
